CRYPTO.COM ACCOUNT GUIDE

How to enable 2FA on Crypto.com

Crypto.com App and Crypto.com Exchange have separate authenticator setup flows. Follow the section for the product you use, and give each entry a clear label in Sign In so you can select the right code.

Start in Crypto.com App

  1. Open Settings → Security → 2-Factor Authentication → Enable 2FA.
  2. Complete the requested passkey or passcode check.
  3. Copy the setup secret using the copy icon. This is useful when Sign In is on the same iPhone.

Keep this screen available while adding the entry below. Label the account clearly as Crypto.com App.

Or start in Crypto.com Exchange

  1. Sign in to the Exchange and open Profile → Security.
  2. Under Account Password and 2FA, choose Enable 2FA.
  3. Keep the QR code or setup key available. Label this entry Crypto.com Exchange.

The Exchange displays its secret only during setup. Store it securely if you want to retain that recovery option.

Add the correct product to Sign In

Use Sign In, our authenticator app, to generate codes on your iPhone.

  1. For a copied secret, open Add → Enter Setup Key. Set Service to Crypto.com, label Account with your account name and App or Exchange, and paste the secret into Key.
  2. Alternatively, if the enrollment QR code is visible on another screen, use Add → Scan QR Code.
  3. Review the details and tap Add Account.
  4. Return to the product you started in and enter its current six-digit code. In the App, complete the passcode check and Proceed to verify when prompted. Finish the confirmation in the Exchange if you used that flow.

Do not share the setup secret or paste it into support messages.

Prepare for a lost phone

A securely retained setup secret can restore the matching authenticator entry. Otherwise, use the official recovery process for the specific Crypto.com product. The App and Exchange may require different checks, and a reset can affect access to transactions.

Do not assume either product issues printable backup codes. Keep a working session while reviewing your recovery options.

If a code does not work

Make sure the Crypto.com entry in Sign In matches the account you are using. Wait for a fresh code, then enter it before it changes. If fresh codes keep failing, check that your iPhone uses automatic date and time.

Keep a working sign-in session and your recovery information available while resolving the problem. Adding an entry to Sign In does not finish enrollment: the service must accept a code and confirm activation.
